Hertz SuperCover: Zero Excess Protection
For ultimate peace of mind during your rental, we recommend SuperCover. While standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) limit your liability, they still leave you with a mandatory excess. SuperCover waives this remaining financial responsibility for damage to or theft of the Hertz vehicle, its parts and accessories.
What is NOT Covered?
SuperCover provides extensive protection, but it does not cover the following:
1. Glass and Tyres (Separate Coverage Required) Please note that SuperCover does not include protection for the vehicle's glass or tyres. To eliminate financial liability for tyre punctures, damaged rims, or chips/cracks in the windscreen and other windows, you must purchase Glass and Tyre Cover (GTC) separately.
2. Additional Equipment & Parts
Accessories: Replacement costs for lost or damaged GPS (Hertz NeverLost), mobile Wi-Fi units and child seats.
Removable Parts: Loss of keys, charging cables, or parcel shelves.
3. Specific Risks in Lithuania
Vandalism: Please note that in Lithuania, damage caused by vandalism is not covered by SuperCover.
4. Negligence and Breach of Contract Your liability will not be waived if the damage is intentional or results from a breach of the Rental Agreement (e.g., unauthorized drivers). Coverage is also void in cases of gross negligence, including but not limited to:
Height & Overhead Damage: Hitting overhead objects or driving into barriers that are too low.
Parking Barriers: Striking a parking barrier before it has fully opened.
Road Conditions: Driving on unpaved or poor-quality roads resulting in undercarriage damage.
Water & Sand: Driving on beaches (saltwater/sand damage) or through flooded roads (engine damage).
Fuel & Battery: Using the wrong fuel type or running out of battery (for EVs).
Warning Lights: Damage caused by ignoring dashboard warning lights.
Mechanical Misuse: Burning the clutch or improper use of the handbrake.
Tyre/Wheel Damage: Damaging a rim by continuing to drive with a flat tyre.
Interior & Cleanliness: Stains, burns, or transporting foul-smelling/dirty materials requiring extra cleaning.
Security: Locking keys inside the car, losing keys, or leaving windows open.
Theft: Loss of the vehicle due to failure to use the anti-theft system or inability to return the car keys.
These conditions are applicable only if a police protocol and an accident report are presented. If not, you will be responsible for all damages to the Hertz vehicle
